Is SwarnaVyapar GST ready for jewellery billing?

Yes. Invoices use your shop GST settings for gold, silver, and related jewellery lines with weight, rate, and making charges. Every plan includes shop overview reports. Professional and Business unlock GST sales report exports. SwarnaVyapar does not file GSTR returns for you.

Can staff bill on a phone at the counter?

Yes. Create and share invoices on phone, tablet, or desktop. PDF download and WhatsApp share are available from the invoice view.

Does it support gold savings schemes like 11+1?

Yes. Create fixed or flexible schemes, enroll customers, collect installments, and mature/redeem — including common 11+1 style plans with bonus-month or other benefits.

Can I run girvi (pledge) loans in the same software?

Yes. Open shop-side pledge loans with collateral, interest, and repayments next to billing and khata. This is not a bank gold-loan product.

How is stock tracked?

Each piece can store metal, purity, gross/net weight, and a QR tag. Scan into the invoice so staff do not retype weights from the tag book.

Does SwarnaVyapar support multi-branch shops?

Yes on supported plans. Sync inventory across branches, manage staff roles per location, and view consolidated reports from one dashboard.

How is this different from Excel or old desktop billing?

One jewellery management workspace for bills, stock, schemes, and girvi — accessible from more than one device, with WhatsApp bill share and less “which register is correct?”

What is HUID and can SwarnaVyapar print it on jewellery invoices?

HUID (Hallmark Unique Identification) is a 6-character alphanumeric code issued by BIS for every hallmarked jewellery piece under mandatory hallmarking rules in India. SwarnaVyapar lets you store HUID on each inventory item and print it on the GST invoice when captured. This helps shops demonstrate BIS hallmarking compliance to customers at the billing counter.

How does SwarnaVyapar handle making charges on jewellery bills?

Making charges can be set as per gram, as a fixed amount per piece, or as a percentage of metal value — matching the most common jewellery counter practices. The charge type is configured at the item or billing level. GST on making charges is tracked separately at 5%, as applicable under standard jewellery GST treatment (3% on gold value, 5% on making).

Can I manage khata (udhaar) for customers in SwarnaVyapar?

Yes. Khata is a running udhaar ledger per customer. You record money received (payments) and goods given on credit. The balance shows what the customer owes or has paid ahead. WhatsApp payment reminders can be sent to customers with outstanding balances. Khata is available on all plans.

Is SwarnaVyapar suitable for diamond jewellery shops?

Yes. SwarnaVyapar supports gold, silver, diamond, and mixed jewellery lines. Diamond items can be added to inventory with stone details. GST billing supports the applicable HSN codes for diamond jewellery (HSN 7113 for gold/silver jewellery, HSN 7102/7104 for diamonds).

Does SwarnaVyapar need internet at the jewellery counter?

SwarnaVyapar is a cloud app and needs a network connection for billing, inventory, and WhatsApp sharing. On unstable connections, reload the page once connectivity returns. A true offline write-queue for counter billing is on the roadmap.

How many staff logins can I create in SwarnaVyapar?

Staff accounts and role limits depend on your plan. Roles include owner, manager, and billing staff — each with appropriate access controls so billing staff see what they need without accessing shop-wide financial or loan data.

Can SwarnaVyapar customers see their own invoices or scheme status?

Invoices can be shared with customers via WhatsApp as a PDF. If the public catalogue is enabled, customers can browse the shop storefront. Scheme enrollment history is viewable in the enrollment digital passbook view. There is no separate customer self-service portal for scheme or khata at this time.

What is the difference between the Starter and paid plans?

The Starter plan covers core GST billing, 100-customer CRM, 100 live stock tags, khata, and single-counter operations. Professional adds more staff, AI scan, loyalty, custom bill templates, and larger catalogue. Business adds multi-branch, advanced analytics, and higher AI/scan limits. How is shop data backed up in SwarnaVyapar?

SwarnaVyapar is a web application hosted on a managed infrastructure with automated database backups. Shop data is not stored only on a local computer — you access the same shop record from any phone, tablet, or desktop with your login credentials.

Does SwarnaVyapar replace a CA or accountant?

No. SwarnaVyapar keeps your shop operations records clean: GST invoices, scheme enrollments, stock, khata, and loan files. It does not file tax returns, prepare balance sheets, or provide accounting or legal advice. Your CA handles compliance and year-end filings — SwarnaVyapar gives them cleaner data to work with.

Can SwarnaVyapar handle gold silver and stone in the same invoice?

Yes. A single GST invoice can include multiple line items — gold pieces, silver items, diamond lines — each with their own metal type, purity, gross/net weight, making charge, and applicable GST rate. Mixed invoices are common for jewellery sales and are fully supported.

What is a gold savings scheme in jewellery software?

A gold savings scheme is a monthly or periodic installment plan that jewellery shops run for customers to accumulate gold savings. Common formats are 11+1 (pay 11 months, get 1 month free), weight-accumulation (installments converted at gold rate), and amount-based flexible plans. SwarnaVyapar lets shops define scheme rules, enroll customers, record installments, and manage maturity/redemption in one place.

What is girvi and how is it different from a bank gold loan?

Girvi is a shop-side pledge loan where a jewellery shop owner lends cash against a customer's ornaments as collateral. The shop holds the ornaments until repayment. This is different from a bank gold loan (an NBFC or bank product). SwarnaVyapar's girvi module is for shop-side pledge operations — managing collateral weights, photos, principal, interest, and repayments within the shop. It is not a regulated lending platform.

Can I run more than one jewellery shop on SwarnaVyapar?

You can run more than one shop workspace under one owner login on Business. Inter-showroom stock transfer is not available yet — each shop keeps its own tagged inventory.

Does SwarnaVyapar support WhatsApp for sending bills to customers?

Yes. From the invoice view, you can share the invoice as a PDF on WhatsApp. The customer receives a clean digital bill on their phone without waiting for a print. WhatsApp marketing campaigns (for scheme reminders, festival offers) are available on plans where WhatsApp Business API is configured.

Is there a public storefront or online catalogue for jewellery shops?

Yes. SwarnaVyapar includes an optional public catalogue feature. When enabled, your shop inventory appears on a public storefront URL (swarnavyapar.in/store/your-shop-name). Customers can browse designs, view details, and contact the shop via WhatsApp. Stock automatically updates as items are sold.

How does SwarnaVyapar AI invoice scan work?

Point your phone camera at a paper vendor invoice or upload a PDF. The AI extracts line items, weights, rates, and making charges into a draft. You review and correct before saving. This is designed for entering supplier bills when restocking inventory — it reduces retyping and entry errors when a lot of items arrive together.
