Gold loan (girvi) software for jewellery shops

Open a pledge loan with principal, rate, tenure, and collateral weights/photos. Record repayments and close cleanly — next to billing and khata, not in a notebook only one munim can read.

Girvi + khata + bill — ek hi roof ke neeche. Register alag mat rakho.

Girvi in a notebook does not scale trust

Shop-side pledge lending (girvi) needs clear principal, interest, tenure, collateral detail, and a settlement path. When this lives in a personal diary, disputes rise: “kitna byaj bacha hai?”, photos of ornaments go missing, and handover between staff is painful. SwarnaVyapar gives jewellers a structured loan module beside retail billing and udhaar khata — without pretending to be a bank loan originations platform.

Who this is for

  • Jewellers who take ornaments on pledge and disburse cash
  • Shops that need collateral weights and photos on the loan file
  • Owners who also run retail billing and want one system
  • Teams that separate “udhaar khata” from formal pledge loans

Opening and running a loan

Create a loan under Loans → New Loan. Select or create a loan customer (loan customers can sit alongside retail CRM without forcing every sales contact into girvi). Set principal, interest rate, tenure, and repayment type: interest-only, EMI, or bullet. Add collateral: metal, weights, photos, and valuation so the file matches what is in the vault. Disburse, then record payments over time until you close on settlement.

Girvi vs khata — both in the same shop

Khata is a running ledger for day-to-day money in/out (udhaar): positive balance usually means they owe you. Loans are structured pledge deals with collateral, interest rules, and a close path. Many shops need both. SwarnaVyapar keeps them as separate modules under one login so you do not mix a casual due with a locked ornament loan.

How it works on the counter

  1. Create the loan and customer

Loans → New Loan. Pick or create the loan customer, then enter principal, interest rate, tenure, and repayment style (interest-only / EMI / bullet).

  2. Attach collateral

Add pledge details: metal, weights, photos, and value. This is what protects both shop and customer when memory fades.

  3. Disburse and collect

Disburse the loan, then record repayments as they come — so outstanding interest and principal stay visible instead of “munim ko poochna padta hai.”

  4. Settle and close

When the customer closes, settle the account in the system so the loan is marked closed and the file is complete for audits or disputes.

What you actually get

  • Principal, rate, tenure, and repayment type on each loan
  • Interest-only, EMI, or bullet repayment options
  • Collateral: metal, weights, photos, valuation
  • Disburse → payments → close lifecycle
  • Loan customers managed without polluting every retail CRM contact
  • Khata (udhaar ledger) available in the same shop for non-pledge dues
  • One login with billing and schemes — less “kaunsi Excel sahi hai?”

Questions shop owners ask

Is this a bank gold-loan product?+

No. It is shop-side pledge / girvi operations for jewellers who lend against ornaments. It is not a regulated bank originations or NBFC lending platform.

How is girvi different from khata?+

Khata is a running money ledger (udhaar). Girvi loans are structured deals with collateral, interest, tenure, and a formal close. Use both when your shop does both.

Can I store photos of pledged ornaments?+

Yes. Collateral supports photos along with metal, weights, and valuation so the vault and the software match.

Interest-only vs EMI — dono possible hai?+

Yes. When you create the loan you choose repayment type: interest-only, EMI, or bullet — then record payments against that structure.

Will this replace my CA or compliance for lending?+

No. You remain responsible for how you lend under applicable rules. SwarnaVyapar helps you run clean shop records for pledge loans next to retail ops.
